PC Support Team

Performance Centre Advisors (PCA) provide the additional capacity to help support and develop the Performance Centres. (PC)  Supporting existing PC’s will be the primary focus of their work, although they will also work with new applicants and some elements of coach education nationally.

With regards to supporting existing PCs’, each PCA will be allocated a portfolio of PC’s and will work alongside the Regional Development Manager (RDM).  Each PCA will visit PC’s four times a year.  The half-yearly reviews currently undertaken by Mike Woodward and the RDM will continue.  However this new network will also see the introduction of an additional quarterly visit either with the RDM or separately, which will comprise of an on-court / observation visit of PC activity.  This will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to visualise the excellent delivery work being undertaken by PC’s which previously we have not had the capacity to do and enable us to share with other PC’s ideas, best practice etc., as well as being able to collate feedback and requirements of players / coaches.  PCA’s will also be available to support by email or telephone.

As well as all of the above the PCA’s will be working with us nationally in helping to develop resources / educational support in respect of talent identification, parent education / pathway support, player programmes (analysis).
