The main Vision and focus of the North Cumbria Performance Centre is detailed below on what we would like to achieve in the next 3 years:

Playing and Performance Programme:

To establish a structure and system, which consistently identifies talented players. To integrate both club and performance pathways to ensure that they are fully effective in developing badminton talent specifically in individuals and generally in the north Cumbria area.

Duty of care and safeguarding and Protecting Children:

Any young sport person attending the PC or a consortium club will have confidence that the club gives serious consideration as to how it conducts activities and  takes all reasonable steps to ensure that participants, visitors and volunteers enjoy badminton in a safe environment.

Competition:

To improve the quality of our players by offering a structure that encourages players to enter competitions locally, regionally and nationally from the ages of 11 to 17 that are the most appropriate for the player.

Venues:

To maintain and improve where possible the standard of the venues that form part of the Performance Centre.

Club Management:

To have a management structure in place that is effective in delivering and monitoring the development plan in the short to medium term and can identify and implement strategies for sustainability in the longer term.

Marketing and Communication:

To create an effective marketing and communication strategy that signposts interested individuals to appropriate clubs/contacts and to raise the profile of badminton in north Cumbria by publicising clubs/competitions/player development along with the many positive aspects of badminton in appropriate communication mediums.
